131015 Kara’s Han Seung-yeon shows an interest in Joo Won

Han Seung-yeon of the girl group Kara showed a romantic interest in actor Joo Won as she participated in the recording of the TV quiz program 1 vs 100.

On the program, she was asked, “You’re of the right age to be dating someone. Is there anyone you’re interested in?” and she answered, “The actor Joo Won. I like seeing him so much in the drama Good Doctor. I always make sure to watch that series, and Joo Won is so pure and warm that I’m healed just by watching him.”

The host of the show joked, “I think I can see hearts in your eyes,” and Han requested, “Please arrange a meeting with Joo Won for me as soon as you can.” She added, “If Joo Won appeared on 1 vs 100 as the ‘1,’ I would support him on the ‘100’ side.” She even sent a message to Joo Won, saying, “Let’s meet sometime. Why don’t we have a cup of tea?”

The episode of 1 vs 100 on which Han Seung-yeon appeared will be broadcast on the 15th.

131015 KARA’s Han Seungyeon ‘I Was Afraid to Be Compared to Kim Tae Hee’

KARA member Han Seungyeon revealed her feelings on Kim Tae Hee.

In a recent recording of KBS2 “1 vs. 100,” KARA’s Seungyeon appeared as a guest and poured out her heart about working with Kim Tae Hee on SBS drama “Jang Ok Jung, Living by Love.”

Seungyeon said, “It was really hard. Since it was my first drama, I was already burdened. Just as I started adapting, the drama came to an end,” and expressed her disappointment.

She continued, “Acting with Kim Tae Hee was a tremendous mental burden,” and “I was afraid my face would swell up after sleeping, so all the while we were filming, I didn’t sleep a wink, even during the breaks. Since Kim Tae Hee is so pretty, I was afraid of being compared to her. And since I played the antagonist, I heard a lot of mean things. Some even made malicious comments saying that I look mean even when I’m smiling.”

Seungyeon said, “But I think I’ve taken a great liking to acting. I want to challenge myself to acting again in another project,” and expressed her desire to continue acting. This episode of “1 vs. 100″ is scheduled to air on October 15th.

131010 Japanese Media, ‘KARA’s Hara Apologizes for Nicole Leaving’

The Japanese media focused on KARA’s Arena Tour concert and termination of the members’ contracts.

Sankei Sports, a Japanese newspaper, published an article on October 9th titled, “KARA Visits in a Year and a Half! Hara Apologizes for Nicole Leaving.”

In this article, it was stated, “It has been reported that Nicole’s contract with her agency DSP Media will be ending in January, when she will leave the group. Even still, the 5 members appeared with smiling faces.” And “In their first concert after this controversy, Hara said in apology, ‘We’re sorry for making you worry. We hope that you will cheer us on so we can show you an awesome performance.’ Nicole also bowed in apology, but there were no specific remarks about this matter.”

Sports Hochi also released an article that day titled “KARA 5 Members Performs 25 Songs… Nicole, No Mention of Future Activities.”

In this article, it was stated, “Since Nicole’s contract with her agency will be expiring in January, it’s highly likely that this will be the last tour with all 5 members” and “Although Nicole has expressed that she wants to continue her activities in KARA after her contract expiration, they did not make any comment on this.”

In other media such as Daily Sports, there were articles similarly reporting KARA’s appearance at their concert tour.

KARA performed a total of 25 songs in front of 12,000 fans at Yokohama Arena, including their hit songs, “Mister” and “Jumping,” which was met with a lot of cheering.

KARA’s agency DSP Media stated on October 4th, “There hasn’t been any talk about Nicole’s contract renewal, which will expire next January. Kang Jiyoung, whose contract will end in April, might decide to pursue her education.” However, despite members leaving, the agency has firmly stated that KARA’s activities will continue.

Regarding this matter, Nicole uploaded onto her Twitter on October 7th, “I started as a KARA member, and I want to end as a KARA member.”

KARA’s member Goo Hara revealed a picture of herself.

Today, Goo Hara posted on her Instagram a picture of herself making a heart with her arms. She seemed to be sending her love to her fans.

Yesterday, Goo Hara attened the Japan tour concert and said, “Sorry for bringing you worries. We’ll always be trying our best only to show you good sides.”

KARA’s agency revealed on October 4 that KARA’s member Nicole will not be resigning her contract with the agency.

We hope that you will cheer us on so we can show you an awesome performance,” and apologized to their fans. Nicole also apologized with a bow, but made no comment regarding this matter.

During their performance, the members surprised Nicole with an event, and presented her with a birthday cake. Her birthday was on the 7th. Nicole said, “Thank you” and her eyes filled up with tears.

Kang Jiyoung, who also didn’t mention a renewal of her upcoming contract expiration, said “I’m happy” and made no comment on the matter.

131010 Kara's Japanese Fans Petition: "DSP Must Allow Nicole in Kara"

“DSP will allow Nicole to remain in Kara with our efforts!”

Kara’s Japanese fans were out in full force trying to gather signatures to make DSP allow Nicole to remain a part of Kara.

Since October 8, Kara has been on a concert tour in Japan. During their concert in Yokohama on October 9, volunteer petitioners were shouting “Let’s make Nicole remain in Kara!” while trying to gather signatures.

The petitioners plan to follow Kara on its seven-city Japanese concert tour, which includes the cities of Nagoya, Yokohama, Fukuoka and Osaka. They plan to gather as many signatures as possible and then mail them to DSP headquarters.

One participant said, “We already accept the fact that DSP will no longer manage Nicole. We just want Nicole to be allowed to perform with Kara, even if she is managed by a different company. We hope DSP will listen to us.”

It seems DSP will have a lot to think about, since Japan contains one of Kara’s biggest fan bases.

Kara’s current contract with DSP also includes a contract with Universal Japan, and they are both set to end in December. Fans are worried that Universal will not allow members with a different contract to work with Kara. Universal is known for its tough stance on concurrent contracts.

Fans are anxiously waiting to hear if Nicole will be allowed to perform with Kara after she leaves Universal.

During the concert in Yokohama, Kara member Goo Hara sincerely apologized to the concert goers saying, “We are very sorry for causing our fans to worry. We hope you continue to support us, and we will continue to work hard to give our best performances.”

131010 Kara's Seungyeon Wants to Get to Know Joo Won Over a Cup of Tea

Kara member Seungyeon recently expressed interest in actor Joo Won, who just finished filming the drama “Good Doctor.”

On the recording day of KBS‘s “1 versus 100,” Seungyeon was asked if she had set her sights on anyone lately since she was of an eligible age to date. She replied without hesitation, “Actor Joo Won.” She explained her selection saying, “I am fond of Joo Won ever since he started acting in ‘Good Doctor.’ No matter how busy I find myself, I stay up late into the night to catch all of his episodes. I just feel that he is such a pure and warm person; when I watch him I feel like it can be a source of healing for me too.”

When asked to record a video message, Seungyeon bashfully said, “I wish I could meet you once. It would be nice if I could come see you somewhere. We should have tea sometime!”

131008 DSP Media responds to KARA Nicole’s message

Nicole recently posted a long message on Twitter expressing her great desire to continue promoting as a member of KARA even after her contract with DSP Media expires next January.

On October 7th, DSP Media responded to Nicole’s message stating, “Nicole’s message suprised both the agency and the rest of the members of KARA. She personally wrote the message and she never consulted us about it. It seems we will have to have future discussions regarding about it.”

In her long, heartfelt message, Nicole expressed her hope to continue promoting with KARA, “Contract with DSP isn’t a contract as KARA only but it’s also a contract as an artist. Although I won’t be an artist with my company, I believe I can search for a solution to be able to continue with the group that I’ve been together until now.”

Today, the style magazine ‘HIGH CUT’ revealed their photo shoot taken with Goo Hara.

According to one representative, the theme was ‘Shine, skin. Lovely cheeks. Bold lips. Mysterious eyes. Chic hands,’ where Goo Hara flaunted her beauty features.

In the photos, Goo Hara let down her long hair and revealed her mature charm. The orange makeup added onto her shining femininity.
