130131 KARAs Goo Hara is operated on for appendicitis

KARA’s Goo Hara was operated on for appendicitis on January 31.

On the same day, KARA’s agency, DSP Media, said, “Goo was diagnosed with acute appendicitis and she will be operated on for appendicitis today.”

According to an official, Goo was taken to the emergency room in Seoul suffering from acute abdominal pains early in the morning.

The official said, “Since the surgery does not require a long term recovery, she will star performing as soon as she feels better.”

Goo will keep busy with her individual schedules when she gets better.

130130 2PM’s Taecyeon and KARA’s Nicole revealed to be considering offers to participate in a ‘world version’ of ‘We Got Married’

KARA‘s Nicole and 2PM‘s Taecyeon are in talks to star in a ‘world version’ of the popular faux-marriage variety program ‘We Got Married‘, according to agencies responsible for both idol groups.

Taecyeon was reported to have been confirmed for ‘We Got Married’ earlier on with the news about the potential leave of Lee Joon-Oh Yeon Seo couple. Although, JYP Entertainment had later denied the news, they have revealed that the idol is actually in consideration for not the regular show, but the ‘word version’.

JYP Entertainment and DSP Media both confirmed that the two idols had received offers from MBC. “We received casting proposals for a world version of ‘We Got Married,” JYP Entertainment said. “But his casting has not been confirmed. We are in discussions with the producers.”

DSP also confirmed the talks, saying, “Although it’s true that she has been considered for a ‘We Got Married’ world version, nothing has been confirmed. We are discussing it with the producers,” they said, echoing JYP Entertainment’s announcement. “It seems like there will be a cast announcement soon.”

The ‘world version’ of the show has been in talks since last year, and once completed, will be broadcast in 41 countries and will include two couples who are from different cultural backgrounds with one member of the couple from Korea and the other member being someone from overseas.

For a music group that want to last long without any big discord or disbanding, it's good to have a popularity that not excessively depend on 1 member only. A group that only depend on the popularity of 1 member, he/she can maintain the group but it also possible to became a minus.

A member that relatively got less spotlight can feel deprivation and the member with high popularity can think "I'm the one who fed and make this group live". Even one of the way to prevent a war between nations is the balance of power. Even one particular nation get more military power the war risk will become bigger.

The fact that all 5 members of girl group KARA getting an equal popularity can be felt during the recent Tokyo Dome Concert. This is important because KARA was once facing the danger of disbanding, and the time left of their contract with their company was less than 1 year.

Han Seungyeon have great contribution to prevent KARA from getting disbanded after their failure in KARA's 1st album and even revived after that.
